La PASSERELLE des PITCHOUNS is a private, independent primary school for children aged from 2 to 11, and therefore receives no state funding.
The teaching team consists of:
1 Director & Teacher, a Montessori educator for 3-6 year old, with several years of experience, teaching children with special needs and a Master's degree in Italian;
1 Montessori educator for 3-6 year old and 6-12 year old, a childcare assistant. She has created the school and has been teaching for several years;
1 Teacher with a Master's degree in English;
2 Montessori assistants, including coach of sports, the children practice sports at least twice a week (karate, swimming, sports in stadium, etc.).

The place and premises are for about 30 children, devided into 3 different atmospheres, nido for children of 2 years old, 3/6 years old and 6/12 years old:
1 class of 150m2, with modular space 
1 class of more than 60m2 for primary school students
1 covered psychomotor room of 60m2
1 stadium
One village square used as a playground, with a children's play area
One cook who prepares lunch on-site
One gardening/vegetable patch area
and the associated green space...forest, educational garden, etc.

The school follows the principles of Montessori pedagogy, promoting autonomy, freedom of movement, and respect for each child's individual pace. Multi-age classrooms allow students to learn from one another, while specialized educational materials stimulate curiosity and sensory development.
